Our way of working

From modular upgrades to fully integrated production. Roastworks engineers the entire process that forms the backbone of the coffee roastery. From storage to dosing, cleaning, packaging and automation. Our work combines deep coffee expertise, industrial engineering and software-driven automation. We take responsibility for the long-term performance of the entire system.

Greenfield and brownfield projects, from first layout to complex upgrades.

We meet roasteries where they are - equipment, space, budget and ambition - and take responsibility for making the whole production system work in operational reality:

01

Understand your operational reality

Every project starts with understanding how your roastery operates today. We analyse your production flow, capacity, constraints, product mix, safety and compliance requirements. We also identify what must remain operational throughout the transition. We don't just evaluate individual machines, but we look at how materials, people and information move across the entire roastery to understand where performance is won or lost.

-> Outcome: A clear understanding of your current operation, the factors limiting performance and the opportunities for improvement.

02

Design, integrate and deliver the new flow

Based on those insights, we design a production system that supports your ambitions. We define what should change, what can remain and how every piece of equipment fits together. From material flow and equipment selection to automation and controls, we integrate every component into one coordinated roastery that is efficient today and ready for future growth.

-> Outcome: A future-ready production system with a clearly defined integration strategy and implementation roadmap.

Installation, commissioning & training

Our responsibility continues well beyond the design phase. We coordinate the installation, integrate equipment and control systems, commission the complete production line and train your operators to work confidently with the new setup. The objective isn't simply to get the roastery running, but to deliver a stable and predictable production from the very first day.

-> Outcome: A fully commissioned roastery, reliable day-to-day operation and a team equipped to get the most from the system.

04

Support over time

Our partnership doesn't end after commissioning. As your production evolves, we continue to support optimisation, troubleshoot technical challenges, guide future upgrades and help adapt the system to changing volumes, products and operational requirements. We stay involved to ensure your roastery continues to perform as your business grows.

-> Outcome: Continuous optimisation, long-term reliability and a production system that grows alongside your business.

How-we-work

What Roastworks brings

Roastworks helps roasteries turn production complexity into coordinated systems. Whether you are scaling a specialty operation or expanding an industrial factory, our role is to make the entire production system work. We focus on material flow, integration, automation and long-term scalability.

Scaling specialty roasteries

Roastworks brings structure to growth. We help you scale in phases without rebuilding everything at once, selecting the right equipment independently and integrating it into one coordinated production setup. Our engineering approach is practical and grounded in operational reality, designed around your space, budget and the coffee quality you’re protecting.

Growing industrial roasteries

Roastworks brings system-level ownership. We take responsibility for flow, interfaces, automation and operational stability, integrating existing and new equipment across multiple vendors into one single, coherent operating system. With long-term support, we help your factory remain reliable today and scalable for the future.

What Roastworks does differently.

Our work is guided by a clear set of principles that shape how we design, integrate and support coffee roasteries.
